Job Description

Square’s Account Management organization works with Square’s largest merchants to grow and retain their businesses and to deliver insights to Square’s product teams. Within Account Management, the Account Management Strategy and Analytics team works to optimize merchant engagement strategy, to measure and grow team revenue impact, and to build scalable processes to improve team efficiency. 

As a Business Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for leveraging your analytical skills to guide Account Management’s core strategic decisions and identify areas for improvement. You will conceptualize, build, and operationalize new initiatives and processes that will help the team grow. The ideal candidate has a passion for driving operational projects and has exceptional analytical, communication, and project management skills. 

You Will:

  • Identify, operationalize, and project manage the launch of new initiatives aimed at improving team efficiency and revenue impact

  • Work closely with technical stakeholders such as Business Intelligence, Data Science, and Operations to execute on the roll-out of new initiatives (scope data infrastructure, quantification, and integration into team workflows)

  • Design and evaluate call campaigns within Account Management aimed at driving product insights and revenue. Synthesize the results into strategic recommendations and key takeaways for cross-functional partners

  • Collaborate with Account Management leadership to optimize program design and strategy

  • Own the communication, presentation, and documentation of new and revamped operational processes across the organization

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 2+ years of analytical experience, ideally in business operations, finance, analytics, or consulting 

  • Demonstrated experience applying quantitative analysis and logical reasoning to drive business outcomes and solve problems

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally

  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to drive a complex project from start to finish

  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and manipulation using database (SQL) and Visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Excel, etc.)

  • Creativity in developing new processes and actionable recommendations

  • Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand
