Job Description

The Partnerships Team is responsible for the end-to-end development and deployment of Square’s Partnership strategy globally. This includes working closely with our product and platform teams to develop strategy and partner-facing experiences, developing relationships with external and internal parties, and executing the deployment and ongoing growth of partnerships across a cross-functional team within Square. 

We are looking for a Launch Project Manager to work with cross-functional teams to tightly manage the launch of partner integrations with Square APIs, and to create urgency that shortens launch timelines. The successful candidate will have experience in 1/ managing technical projects inside an enterprise technology organization, 2/ creating business processes from scratch, and 3/ working with cross-functional technical teams to deliver solutions. You’ll be comfortable dealing with complex, cross-functional and external-facing projects, unstructured product problems, varied priorities and personalities, and using influence to achieve goals. 

You Will: 

  • Develop and implement project plans for launching integrations with partners of all sizes, including defining milestone and completion timelines, role definitions, and preferred communication/collaboration channels.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to mitigate launch blockers and dependencies, including pre-launch quality assurance testing and post-launch integration testing, and escalate when appropriate.

  • Regularly report out to the broader organization the progress across all concurrent projects, with deep insights into common bottlenecks, showing how data is being used to optimize the projects.

Qualifications

You have:  

A career that demonstrates exceptional success. On the Partnerships team we’re looking for motivated, mission-driven individuals who have shown they have been successful in technical project management. 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project or program management

  • Experience working cross-functionally in technical organization

  • Experience creating project plans and using Jira and other industry-standard project tools

  • Technical Product Management experience not needed, but a plus

  • Experience in Partner Management or Account Management not needed, but a plus

  • Excellent problem solver, multitasker, and communicator

  • Strong meeting facilitation and presentation skills
