Job Description
The Marketing Analytics team at Square is responsible for marketing technology and data infrastructure, measuring the impact of campaigns, and making recommendations to drive revenue growth and optimize spend. As a Campaign Measurement Analyst within the Marketing Analytics organization, you will be responsible for setting campaign objectives and KPIs, building out disciplined and holistic campaign measurement plans across products and channels, and identifying limitations in existing measurement capabilities. You will recap campaign results, develop and socialize learnings and recommendations, and drive experimentation to identify growth opportunities. You will be the liaison between the channel teams and the analytics team to ensure we have proper campaign measurement in place for all marketing spend. You will report into the Measurement Manager and work closely with Marketing Analytics, Data Engineering and Demand Gen.
You will:
Own campaign measurement and forecasting for a set of products and channels
Drive campaign planning processes and keep a pulse on the latest measurement methodologies to measure efficacy of spend across all marketing channels
Work closely with channel and product marketing teams to define campaign objectives (e.g. performance vs. awareness) and develop cross-channel measurement plans and KPIs to ensure results are measurable and actionable
Develop campaign insights to evaluate marketing effectiveness and inform optimization and future go-to-market strategies and decisions
Work with our analytics, ad operations, and data engineering teams to ensure measurement capabilities are in place prior to campaign execution
Deliver regular business critical reports on marketing performance, ensuring consistency, accuracy and timeliness with actionable insights on learnings
Qualifications
You have:
3-5 years of experience in evaluating marketing campaign effectiveness and performance analytics
Experience working for an agency or marketing department with a strong understanding of marketing strategy
Expertise in marketing concepts and appropriate measurement capabilities across online and offline channels
Experience working with marketing measurement tools, including multi-touch attribution, media mix modeling, incrementality testing, matched market testing, and A/B testing
Experience and knowledge working on brand lift studies
Familiarity with marketing automation and optimization platforms like DoubleClick Search, Kenshoo, Marin, DoubleClick Campaign Manager, Nanigans, Marketo, Facebook
Proficiency with Excel and data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau
Basic working SQL knowledge
Excellent communication skills, particularly when explaining technical matters to less technical co-workers
Demonstrate ability to influence decision makers and work with cross-functional partners
Comfort working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization, with multiple stakeholders across time zones
