Product Analyst, Web and SEO

  • Full-time

Company Description

Square builds common business tools in unconventional ways so more people can start, run, and grow their businesses. When Square started, it was difficult and expensive (or just plain impossible) for some businesses to take credit cards. Square made credit card payments possible for all by turning a mobile phone into a credit card reader. Since then Square has been building an entire business toolkit of both hardware and software products including Square Capital, Square Terminal, Square Payroll, and more. We’re working to find new and better ways to help businesses succeed on their own terms—and we’re looking for people like you to help shape tomorrow at Square.

Job Description

We're looking for a Product Analyst to lead efforts to measure our website and SEO performance, and feed that measurement into high-level strategy for the two groups and their partners. You'll work with partners in web strategy, global marketing, data science, and product to answer challenging questions that directly improve our customer experience and Square’s growth. As a Product Analyst supporting this group, your role will be a hybrid of traditional roles in product analytics, data science, and business intelligence. You will summarize trends and insights through the vast amount of data captured by Square and develop relevant strategies to grow Square while maintaining customer experience. You will help build and promote a culture of experimentation and self-serve access to data to make better and faster decisions.

You will:

  • Be the expert on web and SEO data and establish and promote best practices through experimentation and rigorous measurement.
  • Design and analyze A/B experiments to evaluate the impact of changes we make
  • Define KPIs, build ETLs, construct dashboards and other tools for you and other partners to monitor our web and SEO health.
  • Break down nuanced, complex data for partners, while keeping customer and business context in mind.
  • Challenge assumptions and pressure-test analyses.
  • Use data to advocate for our customers’ experience.

  • Experience using data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. SQL, R, Tableau, Looker).
