The Cash App Operations Team is responsible for building and managing a scalable operating environment for a fast growing mobile payment app with multiple, external partners and internal, cross-functional stakeholders. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering operational excellence in multiple areas including managing key external partners, driving operational projects, investigating operational issues, participating in cross functional initiatives for Cash and supporting product development through partner alignment. While reporting to the Network Operations Lead, you will be collaborating with multi-disciplines to further develop the Network Operations team into a high performing group by defining, executing, and communicating operational processes, standards, and best practices that work flawlessly.
Own one or more key relationships and manage all operational components of those relationships – including competitive provider analysis, onboarding, pricing, escalation, and business-as-usual.
Design and monitor reports and dashboards that capture deep insights into our network discipline through leading and lagging indicators, visualizations, and early warning mechanisms.
Manage contractual reporting obligations to ensure timely submission and receipt of incentives/ discounts.
Partner with our Risk and Data Science teams to identify gaps, examine opportunities, and model improvements against payment access, speed, cost, chargebacks, and acceptance.
Partner with our payment network partners (Visa / Mastercard / American Express) and key issuing banks to identify and improve operational performance with a focus on cost and customer experience
Collaborate with engineering to build-out critical tools, automate routine work where possible, and address longer-term or recurring issues.
Support CS implementation teams within Cash and across the company as a subject matter expert on network operational matters.
8+ years of operations & partner management experience within financial services, payments or a similar industry
Strong understanding of economic, legal, regulatory, and technical factors shaping payments services.
Exceptional collaborative and troubleshooting/deductive skills including the ability to engage in operational incidents with emerging data to assess impact and drive cross functional collaborative resolution in a timely manner.
Previous experience working with external partners and vendors
Strong analytical skills that will allow good reporting and understanding of problems.
Exceptional written and verbal presentation skills coupled with the ability to drive consensus.
Exposure to query development/modification and databases.
Dashboard development experience with tools like Tableau and Looker
Proficient in Excel
An affinity for systems thinking and continuous improvement.
