Business Analyst, Account Management

Square’s Account Management organization works with Square’s largest merchants to grow and retain their businesses and to deliver insights to Square’s product teams. Within Account Management, the Account Management Strategy and Analytics team works to optimize merchant engagement strategy, to track and grow team revenue impact, and to build scalable processes to improve team efficiency.
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for leveraging your analytical skills to guide Account Management’s strategic decisions and identify areas for improvement. The ideal candidate has a passion for diving into data, synthesizing trends, and making an impact through strategic recommendations from analysis. Strong candidates possess exceptional analytical, problem solving, and communication skills and have the ability to take on a wide diversity of projects.
Use data to drive analysis and actionable recommendations to shape program design and strategy
Perform financial analysis to inform resource investment decisions across potential and existing Account Management programs and initiatives
Own Account Management’s core team metric development, executive-level reporting, and dashboards
Work closely with Account Management leadership to set performance targets and provide insight to drivers of pacing against goals
Drive cross-functional projects across Finance, Operations, Data Science, Customer Success, and more
2+ years of analytical experience, ideally in business operations, finance, analytics, or consulting
Demonstrated experience applying quantitative analysis and logical reasoning to drive business outcomes and solve problems
Strong proficiency in data analysis and manipulation using database (SQL) and Visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Excel, etc.)
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to drive a complex project from start to finish
Creativity in developing new processes, analyses, and actionable recommendations
Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand
