This position will require strategic thinking and methodical execution. As a Product Manager on the team, you will have an opportunity to drive impact for the millions of small businesses across the world utilizing our platform to start, run and grow their business. You will be responsible for defining the product strategy, coordinating and executing projects, and optimizing our customers experience. Our approach at Square is both customer-focused and data-driven. So you will need to dig in to deeply understand our customers and their needs, define and analyze data, and guide our world-class team to move fast and ship remarkable solutions.
In this role, you will also collaborate closely with designers, engineers, analysts, marketers, and other cross-functional team members within the organization to ensure that our product reaches customers and provides a remarkable, delightful experience. Own the user experience for a suite of products and features across multiple platforms
Develop innovative and industry-leading products across desktop, mobile, and native platforms that uniquely serve Square’s customers
Drive the product roadmap for Square for Retail and execute the delivery timelines for the work required to drive growth, experience, and health
Work with our leadership team as well as leaders across verticals (Payments, Point of Sale, Capital), and organizations (Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Partnerships) to grow our active Square for Retail user base
Operate cross-functionally and build strong partnership across the company in delivering excellent products and services
Influence key stakeholders throughout Square in order to align intent, resources, and prioritization
Collaborate with your product development team in order to achieve individual and team goals
Strong customer empathy and experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs
Experience driving key strategies that shaped the investment portfolio of an organization
Experience driving growth initiatives that require deeper data analysis (DAU/MAU/LTV are terms and measurements you are drawn to) as well as working through seams and removing friction
Navigated product scale challenges in a high growth environment
Managed a high performing team of software engineers that consistently delivers
Developed industry-leading products that have gained a strong followership and product loyalty
Ideally, at least 5 years of experience, 3 years working in Product
