As an engineer on the Customers team you will...

  • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and designers across Square to build elegant and modern products
  • Use your passion for great user experience to develop customer facing applications used by hundreds of millions of merchants and customers
  • Lead development of features from requirements break down to production release
  • Stretch yourself by learning new technologies to innovate the platform
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers


You have...

  • 5+ years of experience developing production software
  • Experience developing front-end leveraging popular Javascript frameworks (e.g. Ember, React, Vue.js, or Angular)
  • Experience developing server-side code (e.g. Ruby on Rails, Java, or Golang)
  • Experience in writing functional testing
  • Desire to work fullstack on customer facing products
  • A strong sense of customer empathy and desire to influence the product direction
  • Experience building and nurturing team culture towards strong engineering practices
  • A deep desire to be challenged and continuously improve as an engineer and leader
