Job Description

Square is looking for an extraordinary Performance Marketing Manager to help create new user growth through our Paid Search and Mobile channels. As a member of the Acquisition Team, you’ll manage performance of our marketing campaigns across Google UAC, Apple Search Ads and SEM for our core payments business and SaaS products.  We are looking for someone who is excited to grow one of our largest direct response channels. This is an excellent role for candidates that have 3+ years of relevant experience and are excited about using their skills alongside a marketing team to build one of the strongest brands in FINTECH. You have experience managing Mobile and Search campaigns in a fast-paced environment and increasing efficiency through optimizations and testing. You will represent the Demand Generation team as a subject matter expert, responsible for informing strategy and executing $XXM campaigns.

You Will:

  • Launch, manage and optimize Google UAC and Apple Search Ads campaigns to bring installs to the Square mobile apps on iOS and Android
  • Build, manage and optimize SEM campaigns on Google and Bing to bring in new sellers across all of Square’s products
  • Use a process of testing to prove hypotheses and recommend performance optimizations such as improving campaign structure and targeting, search query mining, keyword expansion, LP testing, and improvement of bid management processes across both channels
  • Build best-in-class acquisition programs through partnership with Analytics, Data Science, and Product teams
  • Collaborate with our organic team to help drive growth in our overall acquisition efforts across both paid and organic channels
  • Use a data driven approach to manage campaigns and derive insights on strategy and performance
  • Own weekly and monthly reporting of mobile and search campaign metrics, goals, and other KPI’s
  • Research and leverage SEM industry trends and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategy

Qualifications

You Have:

  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 3+ years of related performance marketing experience managing and optimizing Mobile and Search campaigns with a $XXM budget
  • Hands-on experience managing Google UAC and Apple Search Ads campaigns including building strategy, planning, executing and testing to improve performance marketing metrics
  • A Passion for Marketing. You continually learn about the industry, bidding platforms and changes as they roll out
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment and delivering results by building strategies and identifying opportunities to scale growth and meet/exceed KPI targets
  • A grasp of search marketing and metrics driven (performance) marketing
  • Strong analytical ability with a understanding of and experience with A/B testing creative assets and different bidding strategies 
  • Outstanding ability to think creatively, identify and resolve problems. Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere
  • High levels of integrity and self-motivation. Must be a self starter who can begin with an energetic and willing attitude 
  • Ability to communicate effectively to senior and executive management; strong written and verbal communication skills that can be tailored to internal partners Adwords Certified

Bonus:

  • Experience working with Mobile Measurement Partners (MMPs) such as AppsFlyer, Branch etc.
  • Experience with Google Shopping campaigns 
  • Website analytics tools such as Google Analytics
