Job Description

Square is looking for a performance marketer to help drive new user growth of Square’s platform through Paid Media Channels. As a member of the Platform Marketing Team, you’ll be responsible for helping drive strategy, build and manage campaigns across a variety of digital and offline channels, working with cross functional teams to support Square’s platform adoption with partners, sellers and developers.  

This is a perfect role for candidates that have 3+ years of relevant experience and are excited about using their skills alongside a strong marketing team to build awareness and adoption of one of the fastest growing products for Square. 

You will:

  • Help support consideration and acquisition campaigns on digital and offline channels. 

  • Act as a business partner to internal teams such as product marketing and creative

  • Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of reports, budgets, campaign performance, ROI, LTV, and other channel metrics.

  • Direct and and collaborate with internal channel team to achieve goals and ROI targets 

  • Build out tests to prove out hypotheses and recommend performance optimizations

  • Take a data driven approach to managing campaigns and derive insights on strategy and performance.

  • Help support weekly and monthly reporting of channel metrics, goals, and other KPI’s.  

  • Monitor web analytics dashboards and key reporting tools, pointing out key areas of importance 

  • Communicate weekly updates, progress reports, timelines, and results.

  • Contribute to strategic documents that help align multiple teams at Square 

  • Write creative briefs to define program objectives and KPIs, optimizing campaigns to maximize ROI.

  • Work closely with the other teams and stakeholders to ensure acquisition goals are met. 

Qualifications

You have:

  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience

  • At least 3+ years of related performance marketing experience

  • A Passion for Marketing. You stay up to date on the industry, platforms and changes as they roll out

  • Excellent cross-functional skills especially around your ability to influence others.

  • Leadership by example

  • A firm grasp of Web Analytics, A/B Testing, and metrics driven (performance) marketing

  • Strong analytical ability and are an advanced Excel nerd

  • Ability to run SQL queries and analyze performance data for optimizations

  • Outstanding ability to think creatively, identify and resolve problems. 

  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere.

  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.

  • An energetic and willing attitude 

  • The ability to synthesize complex ideas into actionable recommendations for senior executives
