Job Description

Square is looking for a dynamic and creative individual to join the Executive Assistant organization, supporting our top executives and their teams. Our Executive Assistants are the strategic partners who hold everything together - from calendaring and meeting facilitation, to reporting processes and team operations, you will participate in confidential and high priority efforts to support Square's goals. The Square EA Team is a centralized organization, where EAs report into EA Managers. We are looking for an EA who has a natural passion for learning and culture development, enjoys taking on new tasks and projects, and who excels at being mindful of details in an energetic environment.

You will:

  • Provide administrative support to several executives within our Finance org, all of who report into the CFO, maintaining sensitive and complex calendars, domestic and international travel, requiring coordination with both internal and external executives, partners, and EAs.

  • Be the executive’s right hand by attending important meetings, being an active participant and knowledgeable resource, while ensuring executive preparation and effectiveness.

  • Manage projects simultaneously, identifying gaps and taking ownership of projects; compiling and preparing material and agendas for team meetings, such as all-hands presentations and events. 

  • Develop an understanding of the team and field requests from members, as well as internal and external contacts, making a point to be available and approachable.

  • Maintain relationships and strong communication with collaborators across the globe to help support team programs and goals.

 

Qualifications

You have:

  • 5+ years of experience as an EA or in a similar role, with experience building the trust and context necessary to succeed as an executive partner.

  • Experience working in or with finance, operations, tech, or any relevant sector.

  • Strong project management skills, used to build processes and programs to benefit your executives and teams.

  • Experience collaborating with team members from different backgrounds and communication styles, and experience with the challenges of supporting a diverse and growing global team.

  • Can demonstrate a large capacity and workload, ability to move quickly and context switch, and manage your own bandwidth and boundaries.

  • Deep empathy for your executives, teams, and peers at all levels.

  • Desire to mentor other EAs regardless of geo-location, and embrace Square's culture in a new and growing office.
