Senior Growth Marketing Manager, eCommerce

  • Full-time

Company Description

When we launched the little white reader, we invented mobile, ubiquitous payments and enabled anyone to start, run, and grow a business. Ten years and billions of transactions later we’re reimagining commerce for businesses of all types and sizes—we’re enabling the independent electrician to send invoices, helping the beauty salon pay its employees, and giving the burgeoning coffee chain capital for a second, third, and fourth location. We’re working to find new and better ways to help businesses succeed on their own terms—and we’re looking for people like you to help shape tomorrow at Square.

Job Description

Square is looking for a seasoned, data-driven growth marketer with expertise in performance marketing, multi-touch attribution models, and analysis. You will play a critical role in driving profitable growth for Square Ecommerce through 2020 and beyond. You will be responsible for driving customer acquisition through paid marketing channels. You will work closely with numerous stakeholder teams within the Ecommerce group and with the larger Square organization, including marketing, product marketing, content, product, design, and analytics.

The role requires oversight of many moving pieces, so you must have an excellent eye for detail and effectively prioritize tasks. The ideal candidate possesses a strong combination of business acumen, written and verbal communication skills, and analytical skills. You must also be adept at managing projects with multiple stakeholders.

You Will:

  • Own a 7-figure marketing budget and lead the strategy, planning, and execution for a set of channels/products for Square Ecommerce.

  • Build a long term vision to deliver the ambitious growth agenda the organization has.

  • Work with stakeholders and build roadmaps for: channel optimization, creative testing, landing page optimization, and audience expansion across channels.

  • Collaborate, partner and negotiate with agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure performance targets are met.

  • Continuously work to optimize marketing media mix and channel budget allocation.

  • Communicate updates to the leadership team on performance, results, and marketing initiatives.

  • Build growth forecasts and budget plans in close collaboration with other stakeholders.

  • Coach and mentor junior members on the team.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years experience managing customer acquisition marketing campaigns

  • Deep understanding of traditional and emerging channels used for acquiring and retaining customers, ideally including some combination of SEM, programmatic Display, Paid social, Video, Direct Mail and various offline channels.

  • Experience with multi-touch attribution and media mix models.

  • Strong focus on results. Ability to prioritize and drive results with a high sense of urgency. Ability to think creatively and strategically, but a willingness and desire to ‘roll up your sleeves’.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills that encourage team partnership, promote enthusiasm, and foster strategic thinking.

  • Have demonstrated ability to work and influence decision makers in a fast-paced, matrixed organization, with stakeholders across multiple time zones and offices.

  • Have exceptional problem solving and analysis skills combined with the ability to synthesize large data and effectively communicate findings to all levels throughout the organization.

  • Minimum BA/BS. Degree in quantitative field preferred but not required.
