Square is looking for a Compensation Analyst to support its rapidly growing population to collaborate with HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and leadership to ensure our compensation programs are operating effectively. This individual will work with recruiters on innovative solutions to ensure we align compensation with talent, stay competitive and, through it all, keep it simple.
You will:
Plan and communicate compensation structures and programs to recruiters, HR Operations, HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers to help answer questions and assist in evaluating job levels and other general comp inquiries
Design and build compensation metrics, reports, and tools to inform compensation program decisions and forecast, report, and/or analyze compensation business outcomes
Partner with compensation team members on the compensation benchmarking and market research process; evaluate and perform analysis on pay market positioning, salary structures, and pay mixes to ensure market competitiveness in support of overall compensation strategy
Produce ad hoc analyses based on business requests and recommend corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related needs
Participate in the development and execution of compensation programs such as annual reviews and promotions
Develop compensation communication materials and trainings
Qualifications
You have:
3-5 years of experience in compensation in a professional, fast-paced environment. A strong background in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, or Economics is preferred.
Experience building compensation systems and scaling processes with company growth
Strong analytical and Excel skills are required to effectively analyze data and create meaningful, understandable models, reports, and metrics
Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team, conduct research, formulate conclusions, and present conclusions regarding business issues
An interest in sales compensation and incentive plan design
Ability to analyze data and see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making
Ability to develop concise presentation decks to illustrate and communicate compensation related information
