Job Description

The Square Content Marketing team aims to be the go-to source for independent business owners who want to start, run, and grow their businesses. Our goals are to establish Square as a thought leader, to build the relationship between businesses and our brand, and to acquire new Square sellers through self-service and lead generation strategies. 

As our first operations hire, you will own the infrastructure and processes that allow us to create great content and develop best-in-class lead generation programs. You will own the library of existing content, and build out the systems that allow us to streamline production. You will also coordinate between the Central Content Marketing team and all of the other teams that do content marketing across the org. As such, you’ll work cross-functionally with the Global Marketing, Communications, Engineering, SEO, Product Marketing, Creative, and Sales teams.

You Will:

  • Develop and administer systems of content governance and administer and ensure that content is easily accessible across the company 

  • Streamline production processes and workflows within the team and work with other teams to incorporate our processes into theirs; this includes stakeholder coordination, communication, and reviews

  • Create systems that allow for more transparent and connected project management across the team and easier communication between Int’l teams, product teams, and the central Content Marketing team

  • Own the roadmap for the Town Square Resource Center, working with the team to prioritize development of new functionality

  • Oversee the development of the team’s measurement dashboards, working with team leads to determine the most critical needs

  • Investigate new tools and platforms to better streamline and automate work across the team

  • Work with the lead to manage team budgets 


You Have: 

  • 5+ years of post-university work experience 

  • Experience as a content or project manager 

  • Demonstrated expertise in developing processes and systems

  • Top-notch communication and stakeholder management skills

  • An energetic and solution-oriented attitude

Even Better:

  • Experience in B2B marketing, with exposure to both small, medium, and enterprise businesses

  • Content marketing experience

  • Experience using Asana, Airtable, or similar project management tools
