Job Description

Square is looking for a strategic, creative and results-oriented leader to join our London team as Head of UK Marketing. You will be responsible for leading Square’s overall UK marketing strategy and team through the next stage of Square’s growth. This is a senior role requiring a strong background in broad marketing disciplines and team management. The ideal candidate will be an inspired leader and skilled manager that thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

You will: 

  • Design and execute creative strategies and marketing campaigns to fuel overall business growth, support product launches, and increase customer acquisition

  • Manage the Square UK central marketing team, overseeing brand and media planning, events and experiential marketing, performance marketing, content and social media, account-based marketing and insights and analytics

  • Oversee campaign management and reporting out to global stakeholders, including in-depth analytics of LTV, CPA and ROI

  • Direct optimization of targeting, creative, media and budget allocation to maximise effectiveness

  • Effectively manage annual budget and planning process and ongoing tracking and reporting 

  • Ensure unified messaging, consistent branding, and collaboration across all marketing and communication strategies

  • Engage stakeholders across Square product and product marketing teams to educate on the UK market, customers and product marketing to drive adoption of products across the Square portfolio 

  • Act as a leader with in the Square UK office, partnering with other leads and functional teams to drive the overall business growth

  • Manage all relevant marketing agencies


You have: 

  • An undergraduate degree from a top tier university

  • Minimum 9 years relevant marketing experience

  • eCommerce experience and B2C experience preferred

  • Experience working with senior marketing professionals across multiple locations 

  • Experience building a brand’s awareness and consideration with an exciting portfolio of past campaigns/content/creative projects

  • Proven capability managing and optimising marketing channels, closely monitoring cost per customer acquired and customer lifetime value to maximize ROI

  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder engagement and management experience across multiple teams

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - you would never say ‘brand can’t be measured’.
