Job Description

This role will oversee the physical security systems design, planning, installation and commissioning for new Square office builds across the globe. You will coordinate with a variety of parties to include internal Square stakeholders as well as external contractors & vendors. Additionally, there will be additional technical projects related to physical security systems. 

You will:

  • Own the Physical Security Systems design process for Square Trust & Safety

  • Manage vendors during new office builds

  • Have strong project management skills and experience effectively working with cross-functional teams of architects, consultants, engineers, and security integrators

  • Have a strong understanding of the architectural design and construction process

  • Have experience working on both small (<25,000 ft2) and large-scale commercial projects (250,000+ ft2)

  • Ability to create schedules, maintain project records, track vendor progress, identify punch list items, and effectively manage vendor implementation

  • Ability to project-manage full life cycle implementations for security technologies, including creation of budgetary estimates, vendor bid evaluation, schedule creation, project tracking, and commissioning 

  • Manage vendor invoices, POs and SOWs

  • A proven ability to effectively communicate, both in person and writing, complex concepts, policies, and procedures to individuals with a varying range of expertise and backgrounds

  • Fundamental understanding of all common physical security systems technologies and design requirements

Qualifications

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) is preferred

  • Professional certifications (e.g. PSP/CSPM) in an area relevant to this position are preferred, but not required

  • In-depth security systems knowledge, including security standards, best practices, regulations, and current technology trends

  • Functional understanding of electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, visitor management, building system interfaces, network equipment, and door hardware

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and project documents. Working knowledge of drawing systems and use of markup tools including any or all the following: Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Navisworks, PlanGrid or similar tools

  • Knowledge of keying systems, NFPA fire code, and guard force operations a plus

  • Up to 25% domestic and international travel may be required
