Job Description
Square is looking for a high-energy, driven professional professionals with sound business insight and natural sales instincts to join our Sales Development organization. You will lay the foundation of this sales effort through identifying prospective sellers and promoting the value of Square for their business. As a Sales Development Representative, you will work with the sales team to qualify deals and create dramatic growth for the Account Executive team.
As the first line of contact, you understand the diverse needs of our merchants. You are quick on your feet and have the perseverance to overcome objections. You will become an expert in the products and services that enables merchants to grow with the Square ecosystem. You will use your convincing personality and passion for winning to raise the bar of success, documenting and tracking qualified opportunities to pass onto the Account Executive team.
You will:
- Respond to marketing driven inbound leads
- Quickly determine which customers are good product fits for Square
- Build our business through outreach emails and phone calls
- Learn to sell in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Gain experience working closely with our sales, marketing and partnership teams
- Be a brand ambassador for Square and create a fantastic first impression with our Sellers
Qualifications
You have:
- A desire to grow your career in sales
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience in a client-facing or sales role
- Determination, positive attitude, and self-motivation
- Critical thinking and strong decision-making abilities
- No reservations communicating over the phone
- An interest in implementing feedback, and dedication to the improvement of your craft
