Job Description

We are looking for an Analytics Lead to manage a team of 4-6 analysts who directly handle risk strategy and policy. You will report directly to the Head of Risk Operations, Policy, and Analytics. You'll build systems to root out high-risk activity across the Square platform and you will focus on balancing safe growth across Square’s products.

You will:

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Data Science teams to address our major risk areas 
  • Improve risk decision-making by balancing loss mitigation with growth and seller experience 
  • Design and report on KPIs to leadership

Qualifications

You have:

  • At least 8 years of quantitative experience- risk or payments preferred
  • Experience with SQL, Python and Looker
  • Experience driving data-driven solutions and project-managing their implementation
  • Experience delivering projects in partnership with different teams and functions
  • Expertise in statistical analysis, forecasting and modeling, with an interest in implementing new techniques to improve quality and efficiency
  • Experience translating quantitative data into relevant recommendations and communicating complex data concepts
  • Familiarity with data engineering concepts and management of data pipelines
