Job Description

Help Square revolutionize the way people make and accept payments. We’re looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our IT team, supporting the Cash team specifically. This is a great opportunity to work and grow with a fantastic company, learning more and more every day. We are predominantly MacOS  and Chrome OS with a growing Windows and Chrome OS environment.

You will:

  • Provide personalized support for local workers, and via email and Slack to remote workers, for Cash and Square information and technology services
  • Contribute to creative problem solving by leveraging existing services and developing new tools
  • Act as a conduit between the workforce and the larger IT organization by surfacing issues and patterns in need of attention 
  • Assist with collaboration tools and services, facilitating internal and external events
  • Provide training to workers for new and existing services
  • Participate as a shared resource for larger projects 
  • Participate in logistics and procurement activities


You have:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience within IT support 
  • macOS + Windows + Chrome OS end-user support experience
  • Fantastic deskside manner
  • Good problem solving and pattern recognition
  • Have a basic understanding of connecting computers to networks
  • Ability to quickly assess root cause, and implement and share corrections
  • Willingness to collaborate on development and upkeep of knowledge base articles
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs computer equipment and hardware, climb ladders and use hand tools where necessary

Even Better:

  • Experience using Atlassian products
  • Experience in Gsuite Administration
  • Experience in Audio/Video A/V systems 
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic video and audio transport layer
  • Powershell and Active Directory administration understanding
  • VOIP administration experience
  • Previous work experience in a startup environment
  • Command-line Unix experience
  • Other Unix/Linux experience (Shell scripting)
  • Experience with Munki
  • A college degree is helpful, but actual industry experience and knowledge is key
