Job Description
As an Audio Visual (AV) Design/System Engineer, you will lead boots on ground operational and event support and designing and deploying with team members to integrate standard AV solutions. You will be a part of a team that manages a global fleet of video conference rooms and provides all levels of operational and event support. You will also partner with vendors, IT project managers, and Facilities/Workplace teams in ensuring AV construction projects are delivered.
You will:
- Meet with clients to set up and if necessary operate a variety of AV equipment, such as microphones, video conferencing and recording equipment
- Test and resolve AV equipment issues for clients
- Perform regular maintenance on AV systems, projectors and displays
- Clean and maintain audio and video equipment and ensure that they are functioning properly per the master preventative maintenance document
- Arrange for and coordinate repairs for audio visual equipment
- Validate and translate requirements and creative intent into technical specifications and operational procedures (including assessment of development milestones and risk mitigation)
- Provide oversight and management of vendors to meet project goals and timelines
- Partner with IT support and manage AV escalations
Qualifications
You Have
- + 4 years of experience working with A/V systems within a global corporation or customer conference center.
- Excellent client interface skills to patiently guide and assist clients in the use of A/V equipment to facilitate their meeting needs
- Experience with multiple operating systems (Linux/Mac/Windows) and with AV system design, system configuration, and mockup/prototyping of concepts
- Experience with products from Crestron, Extron, Poly or Logitech Experience with Crestron Toolbox and Wireshark
- Experience with documentation testing for system performance

- Experience with construction projects including AV, acoustical and lighting specific facility impacts (HVAC coordination, lighting, environmental control, room acoustics )
- Experience writing software or design software architecture to automate AV systems and integrate with other facility IT systems
- Experience with broadcast systems; light control, audio consoles and routing distribution, video control and switching
- Experience with JIRA, Slack, G-Suite
- Audio DSP programming experience (Q-Sys, BiAmp)
- Knowledge of networking hardware and network protocols
- AutoCAD or other design software proficiency
- Crestron XIO Cloud
- CTS-I or CTS-D certification
