Cash Recruiting Coordinator
- Melbourne, Australia
Cash App is the fastest growing financial brand in the world. Initially built to take the pain out of peer-to-peer payments, Cash App has gone from a simple product with a single purpose to a dynamic app with over 24 million monthly active users. We are bringing a better way to send, spend, invest, and save to anyone who has ever sought an alternative to the traditional banking system.
Loved by customers and pop culture, we’ve consistently held the top spot for finance in the App Store for many years, seeing more engagement with millions of followers across social media in a day than most brands see in a year. We are building an ecosystem to redefine the world’s relationship with money by making it universally accessible.
We want to hire the best talent regardless of location. Our employment model is distributed, offering the opportunity to collaborate with teams across the world in San Francisco, New York, St. Louis, Portland, Toronto, Kitchener-Waterloo, Sydney, and Melbourne.

We’re looking for an organized Recruiting Coordinator to support our team of recruiters. In this role, you will serve as a Cash ambassador and ensure that every candidate has the best possible experience.
Be one of the first faces and names that candidates see. Make them feel welcome, delighted, informed and taken care of.
Manage all coordination of interviews virtually and onsite. It’ll often be across time zones, require candidate travel, and both interviewers and candidates will have questions for you!
Don’t assume because something is the way it is, it’s the way it has to be. Offer ideas to streamline our processes and improve upon existing programs. Take on projects of impact to the candidate experience.
In addition, this Cash-specific role requires that you:
Be a Jack or Jill of All Trades. This is an opportunity to create the role that you want it to be. The coordination piece will always need to get done, but so will a number of other initiatives (i.e. Cash Branding - What will their swag look like? What will their interview space look like?; Operational Items - What if we implement a take-home test? How can we reinvent and streamline calibrating interviewers? What data and metrics can we be better about reporting?). Where do you want to take this role? Think about it, then do it!
Act as a Cash ambassador. Cash’s goal is to have a more tailored approach - not hiring as Square, but as Cash. It’ll be your job to infuse the candidate experience with the Cash Story, so it’s important that you live and breathe the product too.
Work closely with not just Cash recruiters, but also the grander Cash team. They want the recruiting team embedded with them!
Have a high comfort level with ambiguity. As a part of our ecosystem of startups, Cash continues to evolve and reinvent, so details and processes change as a part of this. Be go-with-the flow, but also, partner to solidify details as a part of this. Be vocal with what works, what slows down hiring from the RC perspective, or any other changes you’re eager to take the initiative to fine-tune.
A human-centric approach to your work. You want to be a resource for candidates, recruiters, and interviewers.
A mind geared toward logistics. You can crank on scheduling requests without missing any of the nitty-gritty details that come into play. You put your feet in the shoes of both the candidates and the interviewers to think of everything.
Time management skills that help you tackle it all efficiently, consistently, and effectively. You can organize competing priorities that occur daily.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on being clear, concise, and friendly.
A desire to build the Cash team and expand the knowledge of recruiting.
You embrace change with a great attitude and feel comfortable with ambiguity.
Self-drive. You have superior organizational skills, integrity and great follow through on tasks. You don't get overwhelmed easily... hundreds of candidates each month? No prob!
