Job Description

As a Sales Analyst within the Bureau Automation team, you will lead projects that help with Square’s growth. The team exists to surface the right messages to the right sellers at the right time across all our go-to-market channels (Sales, Account Management, Email, Mail, etc) as well as product surfaces. We provide sellers with remarkable experiences using analytical and machine learning/deep learning to power the best product/feature/content recommendations.

As a Sales Analyst, you will leverage business intelligence, engineering, analytics, and data science, working nimbly throughout the data tech stack, to help us maintain and develop a world class suite of data driven solutions that increase Sales efficiency and intelligence. Examples include leveraging Data Science predictions to create an opportunity scoring pipeline, designing tooling to track Sales representatives performance metrics, and implementing an automated system to measure incremental lift of Sales reps.

You will:

  • Use data to shape the long term strategy of the Sales organization

  • Develop tools, features, and reports using our tech stack to empower self-service data access, augment intelligence, and increase efficiency

  • Develop, deploy and maintain ETL jobs and visualizations

  • Deeply understand the Sales data ecosystem, and apply a diverse set of skills in business intelligence, analytics, and data science to support the organization

  • Own, coordinate, and tackle cross-functional problems across Sales, Finance, Business Intelligence, Data Science, and more

  • Communicate analysis and decisions to high-level stakeholders and executives in verbal, visual, and written formats

Qualifications

You have:

  • 4+ years of analytical experience in business operations, data engineering, analytics and data science, or consulting

  • Strong business intuition and ability to understand complex business systems

  • Experience in providing data driven solutions across the business intelligence and data layers of an organization

  • Strong technical accomplishments in SQL, ETLs and data analysis skills

  • Familiarity with Salesforce

  • Experience with Linux/OSX command line and version control software (git)

  • Mastery of data, analytics and visualization technologies

    • Looker or equivalent

    • Snowflake SQL or equivalent

    • Airflow or other ETL tool equivalent

    • Python or equivalent a plus

  • Experience with data visualization, data warehousing

  • Predictive modeling experience a plus 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to build relationships and influence across the organization

  • Proven ability to facilitate cross-functional projects that depend on the contributions of others in a variety of disciplines
