Job Description
We are looking for an SEO Manager to join our growing global Square SEO team. As the first SEO team member in APAC you will develop a unified and comprehensive SEO strategy for Square's international markets, with focus on Australia. You will lead SEO content strategy, identify opportunities for organic growth, and implement technical programs and requirements. You will have a technical and content production background, with experience working in the Australian market. You will educate internal Square team members about all aspects of Search Engine Optimization and have experience driving these programs in large organisations. You will report to the SEO Lead in San Francisco. You will be based anywhere in Australia, and can work from home.
You will:
Work with the Square SEO team and international partners to identify new opportunities to grow our global organic search channel in Australia.
Build a long term strategic roadmap for Australia to help achieve growth for Square.
Track the impact of SEO and content programs, creating and delivering recurring progress reports.
Work with colleagues in multiple global regions to develop agreement and prioritisation for SEO projects.
Coordinate technical SEO efforts and communicate technical SEO aspects to non-technical partners.
Work with Product and Engineering teams to implement best practice SEO processes throughout Square.
Regularly report to SEO and International Leads, ensuring SEO milestones and goals are met.
Qualifications
You have:
Experience developing SEO programs and improving Organic Search performance for online businesses with websites that have multiple country locations and languages.
Experience with QA, localised copy and content and semantic content optimisation practices.
Data analytics and Excel / Google Sheets experience (you frequently use vlookups, sumifs, sumproduct type formulas).
Knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms and ranking strategies, and passion to stay up-to-date with news and trends in SEO and online marketing.
Experience working with multiple SEO suites/tools: Searchmetrics, seoClarity, DeepCrawl, Majestic, Screaming Frog, ahrefs.
Familiarity with SEO analytics tools such as Google/Bing Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics, Looker.
