Job Description

Square is looking for an extraordinary Performance Marketing Manager to help promote new user growth through our Programmatic Display channel. As a member of the Demand Gen Team, you'll lead strategy across our display partners on our core payments business and SaaS products. We are looking for a candidate who is excited to grow one of our largest direct response channels. You have experience autonomously managing display campaigns and increasing efficiency through optimizations and testing. You will represent the demand generation team as an expert, responsible for informing strategy and building successful campaigns.

You will:

  • Lead direct response strategy and manage end-to-end campaign execution within Square's DSP (DV360) and direct buys
  • Evaluate inventory sources, data, analytics solutions and technology platform options in the marketplace
  • Implement and optimize performance tactics across multiple acquisition campaigns
  • Test new DSP partners to accomplish incremental conversions and revenue for the business
  • Develop partnerships with our display partners to ensure we're following best practices and gaining access to relevant betas
  • Conduct quarterly testing for display and create a yearly strategic roadmap to ensure both short-term and long term success of the program
  • Negotiate and execute PMPs and direct deals


You have:

  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of demonstrated ability with display and programmatic. Hands-on keyboard experience in DSPs & Display Networks ( Google Ads, DV360, TradeDesk). Track record handling high campaign volume, large budgets, complex strategies and driving quantifiable results
  • Experience analyzing data and communicating findings
  • Understanding of supply path optimization
  • Familiarity with ad serving, tracking, and attribution technologies
  • A passion for marketing; you learn about the industry, platforms and changes as they roll out
  • A firm grasp of Analytics, A/B Testing, and metrics driven (performance) marketing
