Job Description

At Square, our Capital Risk Operations team is the first line of defense to ensure that we have the controls in place to identify and mitigate risk. This is essential to Square and Capital, so that we can consider growth while being judicious.

You Will:

  • Manage a small team of risk analysts and lead ongoing quality control and transaction monitoring for lending products 
  • Measure performance against standards and improve
  • Identify gaps in controls and assess remediations proposed by business stakeholders
  • Monitor and report compliance and policy adherence to the Leads and Program Manager
  • Work with our Leads and Program Managers to resolve compliance issues
  • Prepare and submit monthly quality control reports, which identify trends and incidents to update Business Unit Leads
  • Participate in ongoing training to maintain current knowledge of BSA/AML and perform BSA/AML duties as required by job function.

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or audit
  • 2+ years experience in people management
  • Must be a team-oriented individual with willingness to assist in training and development of new team members
  • Working knowledge of banking regulations (i.e. ECOA, UDAP, TILA, SCRA, CAN-SPAM, and TCPA) and risk management for commercial and consumer lending products
  • Experience managing and creating team metrics and goals

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
