Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and strategic leader to manage the Product Marketing team for the Square for Restaurants product organization. This is a leadership role with global responsibility to promote business growth and the development of marketing strategies in current and new markets. The Square for Restaurants PMM team will launch new markets, inform product strategy and identify new product opportunities, determine marketing and full-funnel growth strategies, and lead go-to-market strategy for the Square for Restaurants suite of products. The Head of PMM will report directly to the Square for Restaurants GM, playing an essential role in driving product suite strategies and developing the PMM team.
You will:
- Oversee the global growth of Square for Restaurants, with responsibility for delivering on business metrics and revenue growth across products and markets
- Determine the portfolio growth and positioning strategy, and develop frameworks to guide the strategic positioning for our products
- Set growth and retention targets and create quarterly marketing plans for the team
- Embody the voice of our customers, and translate their needs into opportunities for product strategy
- Manage and lead a team, made up of managers and IC product marketers
- Establish a team vision, strategy, and operating principles, to ensure each PMM is set-up for success as they develop individual plans to support the broader portfolio and business goals
- Oversee the team’s development of annual and quarterly plans that guide growth across the customer lifecycle, and ensure tactics are high-impact, high-quality and create meaningful results or learning
- Develop and improve data-driven lifecycle marketing strategies aimed at optimizing product growth and retention with internal partners
- Lead go-to-market strategies, tactical plans, and post-launch marketing programs
Qualifications
You have:
- 9+ years of experience in Product Marketing or related marketing field; 5+ years of experience managing PMMs
- Experience overseeing Product Marketing for multiple products, including responsibility for delivering on business metrics and growth
- Excellent management skills with a proven ability to amplify and lead a product marketing team
- Product marketing experience across methods of customer insight development
- Experience working with products teams to determine product strategy
- Previous background in B2C and B2B marketing, preferably with experience in consumer technologies, early stage startups, or high-growth SaaS
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience; MBA preferred
