Job Description

People are the driving force behind company success. As a Business Recruiter at Square, you will occupy a strategic function that enables growth and shapes our culture. You will partner with our growing teams to identify unique talent and guide recruiting strategies across marketing, creative, and product marketing functions. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing an exceptional candidate experience while serving as a strategic advisor to our teams. Reporting to the Recruiting Manager for Marketing & Communications, Creative, and PMM, you will build relationships and collaborate with senior recruiters and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and team goals.

 

You will: 

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience

  • Build relationships and work with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and team goals

  • Source active and passive candidates from a variety of sources and communities: online and internal databases, employee referrals, events, networking, and research

  • Be a consultative advisor to the business, leading strategic discussions to build teams holistically

  • Partner with the broader recruiting team to build efficient and scalable recruiting processes

 

Qualifications

You have:

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably working with marketing teams

  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with internal and external stakeholders

  • A passion for building effective, cohesive teams

  • Consultative communication skills

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve challenging problems

  • Ability to work autonomously and achieve results within a distributed workforce

  • Experience using applicant tracking systems

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience

Even better:

  • Experience recruiting for marketing roles in a technical or financial organization

  • Experience building recruiting processes

  • Project Management experience
