Job Description
Our Hardware team is looking for a full-time industrial designer who can help us create outstanding experiences and devices that make commerce delightful. You will collaborate on all phases of the design process from conceptualization to production. We're looking for someone who is experienced, capable of broad exploration and precise execution, and eager to work with an accomplished, in-house, cross-functional product development team. This is an exceptional opportunity for designers who love hardware product development and are excited about shaping the future of commerce and the financial industry.
You will:
- Cover the scope of ideation, product development, and manufacturing technical knowledge
- Organize and showcase design results from different phases, including design decks, concepts presentation, and prototypes
- Demonstrate range and bring the right tools at the right time based on the project
- Work with engineering, manufacturing partners, and product managers to bring hardware through production
- Share design ideas and questions with team members, including non-designers
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience. Your experience brings multiple cycles through the design process in various types of companies and covers the breadth of ideation, product development, manufacturing technical knowledge, and work with a cross-functional team. Consulting agency experience will be a plus if it brings more diverse projects experience.
- Experience delivering seamless hardware and software user experiences
- Evidence of a range of technical skills: design strategy, customer insights, form giving, sketching, prototyping, 3D modeling, and CMF exploration and selection
