What is Architecture?

Come be a part of the forerunning team of designers passionate about creating the very best future versions of Cash App. As a design leader on our Design Architecture team, you will be involved in every aspect of creating the product playbook, from brainstorming the next great product innovation to prototyping new features. You will be expected to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills. This position is full-time and based in New York City or Remote.



  • Apply original, creative thinking to create step change, visionary product concepts

  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our millions of users

  • Design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant

  • Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teams

  • Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise our bar for quality


  • 10+ years of software design, visual design, interaction design, UX design, and prototyping experience
  • 6+ years of strategic product thinking and vision experience

  • Experience in building and shipping applications or software

  • An online portfolio featuring examples of interaction design work

  • Demonstrated experience with end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design

  • Experience partnering with Front-end Engineering (iOS / Android)

  • Experience leading other designers, providing feedback and directing work

  • Previous work experience in a consumer-focused tech organization

  • Experience designing for inclusivity and for diverse audiences (international audiences, multi-language localization, accessibility for people with disabilities, etc.)


  • A passion for turning complex problems into simple and engaging experiences

  • Outstanding UX ability, visual design and product thinking for mobile apps

  • Experience applying research, usability tests, and metrics to inform design decisions

  • Comfort with an iterative design process that includes accepting and acting on feedback

  • Competence in relevant design and prototyping tools

  • Strong collaboration and self-management skills
