Job Description

Square is looking for a Data Analyst to join the Seller Customer Success Operations team to help build the strategy by providing data insights around customer satisfaction, process improvement, and operational excellence.

The Data Analyst will partner with our CS Global Consulting team, that is responsible for ensuring our teams, our processes, and our workflows are functioning optimally with a maximum ROI with minimal waste.  The Consulting team needs an analyst to own data sourcing and compilation efforts while also driving ongoing data analysis. CS Global Consulting needs engaging, reliable data that will inform impactful recommendations for our teams and our sellers. A Global Consulting analyst will work closely with Global Consulting Lead, Global Consultant, and other key stakeholders to deliver data to support recommendations and strategies aimed at improving the efficiency of our organization. You will be required to build out data analyses, communicate status, and iterate to meet data requirements ahead of the completion of Lean Six Sigma work. Cross-functional coordination, attention to detail, and an ability to learn and understand new technology are essential. 

You will:

  • Partner with CS Global Consulting Lead and CS Global Consultant to execute successful data analysis for Lean Six Sigma exercises 

  • Apply a diverse set of tactics including statistical analysis and quantitative reasoning to inform the output of the Global Consulting team

  • Perform ad hoc analyses of business performance trends to inform executive decisions and provide ad hoc reporting in Looker. For example, performing deep dive analytics on high-impact topics such as drivers of call volumes by customer segment and the long-term impact of calling Customer Success

  • Contribute to strategic analytical projects that provide relevant insights or promote operational change. You will partner with senior leadership to accomplish these projects, providing analytical horsepower to high-level projects

  • Communicate analysis and decisions to high-level stakeholders and executives in verbal, visual, and written media


You have:

  • Lean Six Sigma certified Green Belt or higher

  • 2+ years of analytics experience; Lean Six Sigma analytical experience required

  • The ability to partner with Global Consulting Manager and Global Consulting Lead 

  • Advanced level SQL proficiency and have familiarity with concepts beyond querying

  • High attention to detail with examples to prove it

  • Python familiarity is a plus

  • An analytical, growth-mindset - you are constantly seeking new and better ways to make an impact 

  • The ability to understand the big picture as well as execute on a granular level

The ability to complete highly cross-functional work with key internal and external stakeholders
