Job Description

The global Square Marketing team helps businesses learn about Square and engage with our ecosystem of products and services. We're looking for a Brand Marketing Associate to join the Australian Marketing Team. You will partner with the Brand Marketing Manager to provide cohesive marketing projects designed to further the Square brand and promote awareness of Square in Australia. You will collaborate on marketing and media strategy and planning for brand, product awareness and content partnership campaigns, lead campaign execution and help with on-going campaign management. 

You will have experience working on innovative brands, either in-house or at an agency (with international experience a bonus), and have previously worked on a variety of marketing programs to increase brand and product awareness and promote customer engagement. You will report to the Brand Marketing Manager (Melbourne) and can be based anywhere on the East Coast of Australia.

You will:

  • Assist with strategy and planning for Square Australia brand marketing projects

  • Work with Brand Marketing Manager to develop campaign plans, including choosing the appropriate channel mix and budgets

  • Manage campaign execution and program management

  • Manage campaign budgets including maintaining budget worksheets, pacing reports, and invoicing

  • Work with a media agency to deliver content partnership campaigns with some of Australia's leading publishers

  • Help with campaign and creative development and deliverables

  • Partner with Marketing Analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and analyse campaign performance

  • Report on major brand marketing projects and efforts on a recurring basis

  • Manage product placement, social influencers and third-party brand usage

  • Collaborate with partners to design and execute marketing tactics, promotions and events

  • Write creative briefs, manage content and creative asset development

  • Manage development of landing pages, emails, programs and other marketing collateral via marketing automation platform

  • Work with global and local Square Marketing, Finance and Strategy, Creative teams in the US and other markets frequently

Qualifications

You have:

  • Marketing experience working on large-scale brand campaigns, including TV, radio and content partnerships

  • Understanding of all marketing touch points, especially digital

  • Experience working with large cross functional teams across multiple locations

  • Project management skills

  • Ability to think creatively, identify and resolve problems

  • Experience working to deadlines

  • Genuine interest and curiosity in helping small businesses succeed

  • Optional

    • Experience working in a global organisation; technology, B2B or e-Commerce
