Job Description

As growth continues to accelerate and Cash App continues to enter new financial services, we’re looking for incredible people to help lead product development. Our product leaders are deeply customer-focused, collaborate intensely with other key disciplines, and make decisions with an eye towards Cash App’s business as a whole. We’re ambitious and resourceful -- willing to do whatever it takes to empower our teams, and bring as much value as possible to our customers.

In this role in particular, you will be responsible for product experiences aimed at promoting the health of our broader product ecosystem. You will build products and features to detect and prevent the improper use of Cash App across all of our core product areas. You and your team will also drive the customer experience and customer communications for those identified and flagged by our risk, fraud, and abuse systems. This will require a close cross-functional partnership with both Operations and Data Science + Machine Learning Modeling (in addition to more standard cross-functional partners such as design, engineering, brand, marketing, business, legal, etc.). Overall you will be focused on the roadmap for increasing Cash App access for the vast majority of customers, while limiting access for bad or otherwise unauthorized actors. You’ll work closely with our executive leadership team and with product / business leaders across the org on a regular basis in order to hit your goals. You will:

  • Drive the strategy, tactics, and delivery timelines for Product Health overall for Cash App

  • Work closely with our Operations and Modeling teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to abuse and fraud 

  • Develop innovative, industry-leading features and products that unique serve Cash App’s customers - differentiating via design and creativity

  • Own the customer experience and communication strategy for customers flagged by certain behavior models

  • Identify opportunities and scope/research them to build a perspective on what we should be building

  • Inspire your cross-functional peers in an effort to build strong partnerships in delivering excellent products and services

  • Influence key stakeholders throughout Cash App and Square overall to align resources and prioritization

Qualifications

You have:

  • 12+ years of product management or equivalent experience

  • Experience driving complex, cross-functional product initiatives in a successful way 

  • Strong analytical abilities and top-tier data retrieval + manipulation skills

  • A humble and scrappy get-it-done mindset; you’re resourceful and in your element going from 0 to 1

  • Strong customer empathy and experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs

  • Managed a high performing team that consistently delivers

  • A hunger to tackle complicated and impactful product & business problems

  • Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, and logical structuring abilities

  • Comfort with ambiguity; the ability to independently lay out and test clear hypotheses, and solve problems without well-defined direction

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
