We’re looking for a creative, self-driven person to join Cash App’s marketing and brand team as the Social Marketing Lead for our Twitter and Instagram channels. Our social media channels thrive on inventing new types of content, building viral campaigns, and collaborating with impactful partners. You will have the opportunity to define and expand Cash App’s social strategy to be a unique, one-of-a-kind leader in the space.
The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, and a deep understanding of user behavior for triggering engagement. They are able to develop campaigns and execute them from start to finish. They have created and experimented with multiple Internet mediums and platforms, and have a demonstrated ability to grow a follower base organically. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who often experiments and has a ton of creative and/or personal projects under them. The Internet is their playground. And they are also able to identify and develop partnerships with collaborators.
Bring the Cash App brand to life in new, creative and inventive ways across our growing Instagram and Twitter channels
Invent and develop new content ideas, strategies, and campaigns to grow and engage Cash App’s Twitter and Instagram
Bring new ideas to the table, and constantly experiment
Own the development, budget and execution of our Social Marketing strategy for Instagram and Twitter
Carry out campaigns from end-to-end, beginning with ideation and planning, all the way through execution
Work closely with our Brand Studio team of designers and copywriters to ideate and shape content
Lead brainstorm and strategy sessions within the Social Marketing team
Identify and reach out to collaborators, negotiate deal points, and maintain relationships
Gather metrics to evaluate the success of our content and partnerships
Be part of a collaborative marketing team and work closely with multiple teammates
7+ years professional experience in marketing, creative strategy, branding, or other relevant fields
A proven track record of creative projects displaying non-linear thinking
Experimented with various social media platforms and know how to grow an organic following
A deep understanding of Internet user behavior, trends, and viral content
Acute comprehension of the creator space and an appetite to collaborate with external partners
An understanding of what engaging content looks like and can develop and execute on strategies
Shown ability to multi-task and run multiple projects while paying strict attention to detail
Works well with others in a collaborative environment
Shown ability to rally internal and external partners on projects
The ability to adapt to new situations quickly and think on your feet
Hustle and determination
BA/BS degree required
