Job Description

Come join Square's House Accounts team.

  • House Accounts is a new team building a product to enable ongoing financial relationships between buyers and sellers.

  • This product will support many use-cases (Restaurants, Retail and E-commerce, etc.) and will collaborate with many Square teams (Payments, Prices, Appointments, Subscription, etc.).

  • We build our products with an API-first approach, using our public APIs to enable both internal and external developers.

  • We design user-friendly, customer-facing, high-volume, low-latency, distributed systems, making thoughtful tradeoffs between consistency and availability.

Qualifications

You have:

  • BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of industry experience

  • Natural curiosity and a desire to explore solutions in a small and focused team

  • Strong ownership and accountability to deliver projects with high quality on time consistently

  • Guice, Guava, Protocol Buffers, gRPC, jOOQ

  • MySQL, Redis, Kafka, Vertica
