Job Description

We’re looking for an organized Recruiting Coordinator to support our team of recruiters. In this role, you will serve as a Verse ambassador and ensure that every candidate has the best possible experience.

You will:

  • Be one of the first faces and names that candidates see in emails, on the screen, and eventually in the office. Make them feel welcome, delighted, informed and taken care of.

  • Manage all coordination of interviews virtually and onsite. It’ll often be across time zones, require candidate travel, and both interviewers and candidates will have questions for you!

  • Be the first Barcelona based RC, on a globally distributed RC team. Offer fresh ideas to streamline our processes and improve upon existing programs. Take on projects of impact to the candidate experience.

  • Be the point person for all interview operations in your location, and relied upon to communicate needs, changes, and wins!

In addition, this role requires that you:

  • Be a Jack or Jill of All Trades. This is an opportunity to create the role that you want it to be. The coordination piece will always need to get done, but so will a number of other initiatives (i.e. Verse Branding - What will their interview space look like?; Operational Items - How can we reinvent and streamline calibrating interviewers? What data and metrics can we be better about reporting?). Where do you want to take this role? Think about it, then do it!

  • Act as a Verse ambassador. Verse’s goal is to have a unique approach - not hiring as Square (our parent company), but as Verse. It’ll be your job to infuse the candidate experience with the Verse Story, so it’s important that you live and breathe the product too.

  • Have a high comfort level with ambiguity. As a part of Square’s ecosystem of startups, Verse continues to evolve and reinvent, so details and processes change as a part of this. Be go-with-the flow, but also, partner to solidify details as a part of this. Be vocal with what works, what slows down hiring from the RC perspective, or any other changes you’re eager to take the initiative to fine-tune.

Qualifications

You have:

  • A human-centric approach to your work. You want to be a resource for candidates, recruiters, and interviewers.

  • A mind geared toward logistics. You can crank on scheduling requests without missing any of the nitty-gritty details that come into play. You put your feet in the shoes of both the candidates and the interviewers to think of everything.

  • Time management skills that help you tackle it all efficiently, consistently, and effectively. You can organize competing priorities that occur daily.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on being clear, concise, and friendly.

  • A desire to build the Cash team and expand the knowledge of recruiting.

  • You embrace change with a great attitude and feel comfortable with ambiguity.

  • Self-drive. You have superior organizational skills, integrity and great follow through on tasks. You don't get overwhelmed easily... hundreds of candidates each month? No prob!

  • Proficient in Spanish and English
