Associate Program Manager, Partnerships

  • Full-time
  • Alternate Location: St. Louis, United States

Company Description

Square builds common business tools in unconventional ways so more people can start, run, and grow their businesses. When Square started, it was difficult and expensive (or just plain impossible) for some businesses to take credit cards. Square made credit card payments possible for all by turning a mobile phone into a credit card reader. Since then Square has been building an entire business toolkit of both hardware and software products including Square Capital, Square Terminal, Square Payroll, and more. We’re working to find new and better ways to help businesses succeed on their own terms—and we’re looking for people like you to help shape tomorrow at Square.

Job Description

The Partner Development team is the point of entry for all early-stage Square platform partners globally, and our work is central to the onboarding, incubation, and launch for hundreds of businesses that integrate with Square's APIs. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will bring strategies that automate and scale our partner-facing experiences to life, like building outbound email campaigns about launching and succeeding on the App Marketplace, managing projects to expand our partner support tools, and defining processes to implement and automate new growth tactics. You 1) are a motivated, mission-driven individual with experience coordinating complex projects and inventing creative workarounds, 2) have comfort analyzing data and synthesizing into succinct business cases, and 3) are a conceptual thinker, especially in writing and editing, ranging from creative marketing copy to technical process documentation.

*Please note we will entertain remote candidates outside of the state of CA*

You will:

  • Oversee the production of outbound communications intended to onboard new partners and increase engagement of existing partners; from drafting briefs and content, coordinating design assets, getting legal and content approvals, and building and using audience queries.
  • Support team members by optimizing their processes and workflows, creating business cases for required resources, and prioritizing internal tooling projects.
  • Monitor app performance data for 200+ partners, surfacing risks and opportunities and sharing weekly insights with the broader team.
  • Work with Partner Marketing to create a public web presence that helps Business Development attract and sign new partners to the program.

Qualifications

You have:

  • 4+ years of experience that shows a mix of project management, creative, and technical skills.
  • Familiarity with tools like, Salesforce CRM and ServiceCloud, JIRA, and Iterable.
  • Experience writing for external audiences, emulating style and structure.
  • Experience in technical Partnerships.
  • Understanding of technologies like APIs and SQL is a plus.
  • A BA/BS or relevant experience.
