Readiness Program Manager

  • Full-time
  • Alternate Location: Austin, United States

Company Description

Square builds common business tools in unconventional ways so more people can start, run, and grow their businesses. When Square started, it was difficult and expensive (or just plain impossible) for some businesses to take credit cards. Square made credit card payments possible for all by turning a mobile phone into a credit card reader. Since then Square has been building an entire business toolkit of both hardware and software products including Square Capital, Square Terminal, Square Payroll, and more. We’re working to find new and better ways to help businesses succeed on their own terms—and we’re looking for people like you to help shape tomorrow at Square.

Job Description

The Readiness Program Manager coordinates Operations work streams that support the GTM (go-to-market) strategy. You will facilitate cross-team collaboration and deliverables across the Hardware organization to ensure seamless product launches, product transitions, and supply chain changes.

You will be the glue that bonds together the extended team, ensuring that all players are working in lockstep to maximize operational efficiency and optimize the customer experience. We are looking for someone who is passionate about building scalable processes and leading complex Operations projects.

You Will:

  • Create, manage and distribute TDMs (time dependency models) supporting launch activities
  • Ensure projection execution stays on track via innovative problem solving, proposing changes, contingency planning, and knowing when to escalate
  • Partner with Product Marketing to define and document the channel prioritization and ship quote strategy
  • Provide concise updates to management highlighting (ex-factory) operational risks and mitigation plans
  • Partner with internal team members to scenario plan around SKU transition strategies, minimizing inventory exposure and supporting external relationships
  • Create the operational framework for Retail launch requirements
  • Partner with Marketing and Operations teams to identify opportunities for SKU reduction
  • Support rollout of new SDM (Supply/Demand management) planning systems

Qualifications

You have:

  • 6+ years relevant work experience in program management, specifically in supply chain or consumer electronics
  • Ability to balance quantitative and qualitative data
  • Experience solving problems with data even in the face of ambiguity
  • A sense of urgency and commitment to operational efficiency
  • High level of comfort presenting in multiple settings
  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or other relevant field
