Job Description

We are looking for a strategic individual to join Square as a Product Marketing Manager focused on growing our emerging solutions partner program and launching product surfaces that support it. Solutions partners build customized solutions for Square sellers, using Square products and APIs.

This PMM will partner with product management to identify which customer segments we can best serve, understand these sellers' needs, and use those insights to directly define our product roadmap. You will determine product positioning and messaging, develop full-funnel growth strategies, and execute seller acquisition campaigns to grow the program. You will also work with business development and partner management to establish the program strategy and support partner acquisition.

You will: 

  • Understand the landscape, industry, pain points, and ongoing differentiation for target audiences, to inform the product roadmap and marketing strategy
  • Identify target segments, their needs, and how products will meet those needs through surveys, interviews, and product usage
  • Develop product positioning, value propositions, and important messaging to be used in product development and marketing campaigns
  • Work with cross functional partners to determine relevant pricing and packaging
  • Lead the go-to-market plan, ensuring that all customer-facing teams are on-message and maximizing each channel
  • Provide sales and account managers with the right information to conduct upsell and outbound campaigns through educational materials/collateral
  • Work with Square's outstanding product marketing, marketing, design and product teams

Qualifications

You have: 

  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • 2+ years in product marketing, product management, growth or lifecycle marketing, or similar go-to-market experience.
  • Experience working with product teams to determine product strategy
  • Genuine interest in and curiosity in helping small businesses succeed
