Job Description

The Globalization team helps to bring Square products and services to the world. Our goal is to leverage our success in the US and provide creative, simple, unique, and localized experiences to our international customers. In this role, you will help us shape the Square message with maximum local relevance, amplifying our brand and products experience in key markets around the globe.

  • Refine end-to-end localization processes for a wide array of content types including product, marketing assets, web, and testing initiatives that promote quality and consistency
  • Manage a small pod of project managers and be responsible for cultivating a team culture of high agency, execution, and client focus
  • Work with the Head of Globalization on planning, forecasting, and roadmapping for multiple projects that support global efforts
  • Design and implement a localization project management framework and continue to evolve it to best address our locales challenges
  • Engage and build relationships with multiple partners to ensure localization requirements are implemented and the localization processes are well understood
  • Manage operational engagement with vendors, refining strategy while increasing efficiency and scalability
  • Promote localization best practices and ensure all partners' compliance
  • Identify requirements and prioritize deliverables while filtering and articulating status updates to different audiences

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Localization project management including vendor management and team management
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Familiarity with Marketing transcreation, Product and Website localization process and technology
  • Experience with globalization management systems, content management systems, video localization tools, and LQA testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with internationalization standards such as Unicode
  • Experience with localization platforms (internal or external) used to manage translation
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about globalizing software and hardware
  • Native fluency in at least one language besides English, two or more a bonus
  • BS/BA in related field
