Job Description

The Globalization team helps to bring Square products and services to the world. Our goal is to leverage our success in the US and provide creative, simple, unique, and localized experiences to our international customers. You will help us shape the Square message with maximum local relevance, amplifying our brand and products experience in key markets around the globe.

You Will:
  • Build the end-to-end process for localization requests, managing schedules while filtering priorities and degree of engagement per project
  • Engage and build relationships with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, in-country Marketing teams) to ensure localization requirements are implemented and the localization processes are well understood
  • Oversee and troubleshoot localization projects and tasks for multiple locales/languages across a variety of deliverables
  • Manage external linguists and LSPs to tailor efficient localization processes including translation, localization and LQA tasks to meet our internal partners needs
  • Promote localization best practices and ensure both external and internal partners compliance
  • Identify requirements and prioritize critical deliverables and articulate status updates to different audiences

Qualifications

You have:
  • 5+ years of experience in Localization project management, including vendor management
  • Familiarity with Marketing transcreation and Product/Website localization processes
  • Experience with globalization management systems, content management systems, video localization tools and LQA testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with internationalization standards
  • Experience communicating with technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Native fluency in at least one language besides English (two or more a bonus)
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about globalizing software and hardware
  • BS/BA in related field
