From the beginning, Design has been part of our primary business strategy, and central to our product development process - therefore, the role of hiring designers is essential to Square's success. In this job you will be part of a small team recruiting for all Design roles across Square's Seller business. You will identify and engage uniquely experienced individuals, build interview and hiring strategies with design leaders across the organization, and close the best candidates for Square while delivering a phenomenal candidate experience. You are knowledgeable and experienced working across a range of channels and also creative, flexible and thoughtful about how you identify solutions and scale processes.
You will:
- Build relationships and collaborate with senior management and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and team goals,
- Manage the full cycle recruitment process, from kicking off a new search, job description development, building a robust evaluation strategy, sourcing and closing candidates
- Partner with the broader recruiting team, HRBPs, Finance, Talent Programs, Compensation and I&D to ensure a holistic, efficient and scalable approach to recruiting,
- Be a consultative advisor to the business, leading strategic discussions to build teams,
- Prioritize and delegate open headcount in partnership with your manager,
- Provide mentorship or indirect leadership on various recruiting best practices,
- Execute against a unique sourcing strategies to build diverse pools of candidate
Qualifications
You have:
- At least four years of full-cycle recruiting experience, specifically working on Design/Creative roles in a competitive market
- Experience working with hiring partners, from new managers to executives
- A bias-to-action, and a high level of attention to detail
- Experience building or scaling recruiting processes and infrastructure
- The proven ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex problems
- Genuine enthusiasm for (and experience in) diversity, inclusion and belonging initiatives and programs
- The desire and appreciate feedback as part of the effort to improve as a recruiter and strategic partner
- A positive, high-transparency, and collaborative approach to your work
