Job Description

Square is looking for a seasoned Paid Search marketer to help grow the Square eCommerce business. You will own the strategy, operations, and execution of the Square eCommerce Paid Search program. You will work closely with numerous stakeholder teams within the eCommerce group and with the larger Square organization.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, creative, and fast-growing business. Additionally, you have a desire to problem solve with teams like Analytics, PMM & Design to reach creative solutions.

You will: 

  • Lead the Paid Search strategy and manage Square eCommerce's Paid Search campaigns end-to-end
  • Own a marketing budget, create and oversee a channel roadmap focusing on: optimizations, testing, and expansion.
  • Forecast, manage, and advise on budgets for monthly, quarterly, and annual planning processes.
  • Collaborate, partner and foster relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure performance targets are met.
  • Communicate updates to the leadership team on performance, results, and marketing initiatives.
  • Test new channels to promote incremental conversions and revenue for the business
  • Stay current with advances in digital marketing, competitive landscape, and macro environment

Qualifications

You have:

  • 5+ years of experience building growth through Paid Search marketing channels
  • BA/BS Degree
  • Experience handling complex SEM strategies, high campaign volume, large budgets and driving quantifiable results
  • Experienced with SA360. Adwords certified preferred
  • A firm grasp of data analysis, A/B Testing, and metrics driven (performance) marketing
  • Familiarity with ad serving & tracking technologies
  • Knowledge and interest in other marketing channels such as display, paid social, and video advertising
  • High level of autonomy, self-motivation, and resourcefulness
  • Strong interpersonal skills that encourage partnership, promote enthusiasm, and foster strategic thinking
  • Experience with multi-touch attribution and media mix models
