Job Description
As Internal Communications Lead for TIDAL, your ultimate goal is to keep employees connected, engaged, and informed. You will summarize large amounts of complex information, develop new creative formats and channels for delivering and distributing information, and be the face and voice of information flow across the TIDAL team. TIDAL is a distinct business within the Square ecosystem. You will be responsible for internal communications programs within TIDAL and strategies to connect TIDAL employees with the broader Square community and ecosystem.
You will:
Create and implement a content strategy that informs and engages employees throughout TIDAL
Work with leaders throughout TIDAL to support both proactive and reactive communications needs, determining key messages and the right channels to deliver them
Develop an editorial calendar and fill it with compelling content, including stories specific to and reflective of TIDAL’s culture and those that help TIDAL employees connect with other people, programs, and products from across the Square ecosystem
Develop and author a variety of content, including presentations, announcements, blog posts, digital communications, infographics, etc. to be delivered across a variety of channels
Distribute content and communications using existing channels and developing new ones, and establish measurement techniques to understand and build engagement
Stay informed on strategic initiatives and progress across various initiatives
Develop relationships with TIDAL leadership and communications team members within TIDAL and in other parts of Square
Qualifications
Must have experience:
5-7 years of hands-on communications experience (internal communications, journalism, speech writing, or related experience)
Excellent writer, with demonstrated ability to write for a variety of audiences, on behalf of leaders, and across various media
Ability to develop narratives and execute in a variety of formats including articles, video, podcasts, presentations, and live events
Outstanding presentation skills, with experience presenting to and consulting with an executive audience
Ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels
Experience working with a global audience across timezones
A scrappy mentality and commitment to getting things done independently; strong team player and creative thinker
Nice to have experience:
Working within an intranet
Change management communications
Creating new internal communications programs from scratch
Basic video editing and/or graphic design skills
