The Square Finance team is looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor. We continue to need accounting talent as our team and company grow. You will play an important part in the operations and accounting close, with opportunities to work on projects as we scale.

You will:

• Lead the Invoice Processing team that manages invoice processing
• improve processes to help our business to increase and maintain a internal control environment on business processes
• Work with Indirect Tax team on VAT and operationalizing input postings and reporting
• Provide daily Business Processing Outsourcing oversight and support
• Work with suppliers and Square partners to resolve invoicing and payment issues
• Work with business systems teams on maintaining and improving underlying systems
• Oversee payment approvals, processing and resolve payment issues by communicating with partners
• Work with your partners and provide positive experience
• Prepare and maintain daily Accounts Payable metrics and reports
• Month-end close activities: Journal & Reconciliation approvals and Fluxes
• Help with Finance Transformation projects
• Coordinate new entity setups for the AP Ledger
• You will report to Global Accounts Payable Manager

You and inquisitive with a and willingness to be hands-on. You will be a process-oriented person who is enough to excel in a startup setting.

You have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 5 years of Accounts Payable and Procure to Pay experience
• Understanding of the purchasing process and purchase order life cycle
• Experience hiring and motivating a team
• Passion for end-to-end process design and improvement
• Experience scaling Accounts Payable internationally
• Passion for Square, adopt to change, and revolutionized new ideas
• A large ERP or Cloud Financial System
• Passionate to build an inclusive culture among the team
• Expensify (Travel and Expense Tool) or Concur, iExpense (Oracle's)
• Local Payment Knowledge for Disbursement (SEPA, Wires, Banking information)
• Experience with basic VAT Concepts
