UX Designer - Employee Experience

  • San Francisco, CA, USA
  • Employees can work remotely
  • Full-time

Company Description

Square builds common business tools in unconventional ways so more people can start, run, and grow their businesses. When Square started, it was difficult and expensive (or just plain impossible) for some businesses to take credit cards. Square made credit card payments possible for all by turning a mobile phone into a credit card reader. Since then Square has been building an entire business toolkit of both hardware and software products including Square Capital, Square Terminal, Square Payroll, and more. We’re working to find new and better ways to help businesses succeed on their own terms—and we’re looking for people like you to help shape tomorrow at Square.

Job Description

Square believes in the importance of well thought design and it's built into the core strategy for our external products. We want to extend that same design intention and elegance to our internal employee experience.

Throughout the employee life-cycle, there are many small and not so small experiences we have the opportunity to impact. While seemingly insignificant in themselves - one benefits selection, one class sign-up, one org chart/directory search, one comp planning entry, etc. they are not simply the sum of their parts. They are part of a much more powerful employee experience that impacts Square and can leave a lasting impression on the talented people who join us. These are the opportunities we want an Experience Designer to be passionate about.
