Job Description

The Square eCommerce team, formed with the acquisition of Weebly in May 2018, is on a mission to make it easy for anyone to sell online. With more than 40 million Sellers across Weebly, Square Online Store, Square Online Checkout, and our other eCommerce products, we are passionate about helping restaurants, retailers, and sellers of all kinds reach success -- both online and offline. 

As the Senior Product Manager — eCommerce Buyer Network, you will be responsible for deeply understanding our rapidly growing network of Buyers, their interactions with our sellers (offline and online) and their patterns of purchasing. You will be in charge of creating the product strategy for how we can harness the power of that network to both help our Seller’s grow and in turn Square.  You will report to the eCommerce Product Lead for Online Experience & Activation as you partner with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Analytics, and other product and platform teams across Square to develop and drive cohesive vision and strategy for how we can harness the power of our buyer network. We’re looking for someone who is ambitious and resourceful. You should have experience driving growth, engagement and developing a loyal user base. Commerce is changing rapidly, in this role you will shape the future of buying as we know it.

You will: 

  • Develop and Drive strategy for harnessing our  large and rapidly growing base of buyers 

  • Deeply understand the product ecosystem within Square and our advantages in the market

  • Analyzing quant and qual data to deeply understand who our buyers are and what they need

  • Assess impact of proposals to drive alignment within SQ around the opportunity ahead. 

  • Influence cross-functional product roadmaps with clear prioritization and goal alignment. 

  • Define, build, and track key performance metrics to measure success and identify new opportunities to iterate

Qualifications

You have: 

  • 5+ years of product management experience

  • Product growth experience

  • Comfortable working with data to understand performance and model out growth opportunities. 

  • Experience driving cross-functional alignment and delivering results in a complex organization. 

  • Ability to both operate at a strategic level and dive deep into the complexity with ease. You can clearly communicate your strategy and tactics to stakeholders, product managers, engineers, and designers. 

  • Self-starter with proven experience delivering results across the finish line

  • Strong customer empathy and experience shaping product direction based on customer needs. 

  • Passion for our purpose of economic empowerment and helping sellers success
