Job Description
The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will work with both Business and Engineering at Square. You will have an in-depth understanding of the technical architecture at Square to organize documentation and reporting of Privacy Counsel and Business Continuity efforts across a large Engineering department. This role will focus on Square’s international efforts, including acquisitions and subsidiaries. You will report to the company Business Continuity Manager as part of the Privacy Team.
You will:
Prioritize and implement new and existing privacy regulations between Counsel and Engineering
Help create data privacy guidance to product teams at Square
Develop and maintain standardized documentation to be used by both Engineering and Privacy and ensure that documentation meets regulatory standards
Maintain reporting requirements to regulatory authorities
Coordinate and organize the categorization of data across many product teams
Improve the efficiency of Privacy metric tracking and reporting by working with Engineering and Counsel
Understand privacy regulation and other industry standards outlined by:
GDPR
CCPA
Financial Institutions Examinations Council (FFIEC)
Apply project management skills to the implementation of Business Continuity best practices for product teams, subsidiaries, and acquisitions
Help with the assessment and execution of resiliency efforts at Square including Business Continuity Analysis, Incident Response, Disaster Recovery Exercises, Tabletop Exercises, and Threat and Risk Assessments
Qualifications
You have:
A passion for Square and our customers with an understanding of our business
A BA/BS
2+ years of experience in Project Management working at a technology-based company
Experience reporting on metrics
An understanding of operational best practices with a focus on data privacy
Even better:
Privacy related work experience such as GDPR or CCPA implementation
Experience in Business Continuity Planning
