Job Description

Hiring great talent is critical to the success of any company. Square is looking for a Lead Product Recruiter to revamp, rebuild our entire product hiring process for scalability and execute against recruiting strategies. Act as a talent advisor and thought leader to our business partners, and offer a great experience to candidates and hiring managers.

As a Product Recruiter, you will lead recruitment efforts to identify uniquely accomplished individuals to guide us forward. You will be responsible for building strategies to engage and build relationships with world class talent within tech communities. Throughout the entire process, you will provide an unparalleled experience, while serving as an advisor to candidates and internal partners alike.

You will:

  • Build relationships and collaborate with senior management and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and team goals,

  • Redesign our current Product Hiring process across Square Seller. Implement a new reimagined process that will help us smoothly scale the function,

  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process, from kicking off a new search, job description development, building a robust evaluation strategy, sourcing and closing candidates

  • Partner with the broader recruiting team, HRBPs, Finance, Talent Programs, Compensation and I&D to ensure a holistic, efficient and scalable approach to recruiting,

  • Be a consultative advisor to the business, leading strategic discussions to build teams,

  • Prioritize and delegate open headcount in partnership with your manager,

  • Provide mentorship or indirect leadership on various recruiting best practices,

  • Execute against a unique sourcing strategies to build diverse pools of candidates

Qualifications

You have:

  • 7+ years of full cycle technical recruiting experience in a startup or agency environment,

  • Experience building a product hiring roadmap from the ground up,

  • Experience building strategic partnerships with hiring teams and cross functional team members, 

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex problems while collaborating with business partners to achieve a common goal,

  • Ability to thrive in a data and metrics driven environment,

  • A passion for building cohesive teams and a positive team-oriented approach to your work
