Job Description

We are looking for a Sales Enablement Trainer to join the Square Australia team. The first APAC-based Sales Enablement team member, you will work with the Australia Sales team to empower them to be brand ambassadors for Square and find opportunities to help Australian businesses grow. Square Sales team members use insights and deep Square product knowledge to educate and support sellers, understand how our ecosystem of products can fit different types of businesses, and work with Square sellers of all sizes, from small family run businesses to larger strategic partnerships.

You will develop, implement, and improve on an existing global sales onboarding program for new Australia Sales team members (Account Executives and Business Development Representatives) in person and remotely, provide Sales training for new product launches and localise content. You can be based anywhere on the east coast of Australia, and can work from home or from our Melbourne office. You will report to the Sales Productivity and Enablement Team Lead based in the US.

You Will:

  • Train new sales hires at Square in Australia through their onboarding to help them develop selling skills, deep product knowledge, and processes necessary to perform their role
  • Identify onboarding program improvements and localisations with your Lead, and implement new strategies in Australia
  • Use existing training materials from our Global Sales Enablement team to deliver onboarding to our Australia Sales team new hires (in person and remotely)
  • Collaborate with Head of Sales Australia, Sales Managers and Sales Development Manager to identify onboarding needs for new hires
  • Partner with the Operational Specialist and Ramp Coaches in the USA to drive the local strategy of your program in Australia
  • Establish a recurring system (30-60-90 day) with Australia Sales Managers with your Lead to ensure new hires are fully set up for success, reporting to stakeholders on planning, execution and follow up of onboarding programs
  • Make quarterly improvements to onboarding training and content quality, working with the central Learning team to ensure best practices are applied in Australia
  • Maintain current knowledge of the global Square product ecosystem and how this may help large value Australian customers to further grow their businesses, and keep up-to-date with the latest business, industry and product trends
  • Maintain current understanding of global Square sales processes and tools

Qualifications

You Have:

  • Delivered existing onboarding training programs (in person and remotely) to classes ranging from one person to >30
  • Experience identifying training program improvements and implementing these changes
  • Successfully partnered with leaders to ensure effective delivery of onboarding training/programs, and are proficient at building strong, lasting relationships
  • Delivered (and ideally created) reporting systems to monitor planning, execution and follow up of onboarding programs
  • Enthusiasm for keeping up-to-date with business, industry and product trends in your industry
  • Experience managing the scheduling and delivery of onboarding programs
  • Passion for and interest in small businesses and Square's purpose of economic empowerment

  • Experience working as part of a global Learning team
  • Experience delivering new product knowledge and training
  • Experience training newly hired sales people
  • Experience creating localised pitch decks, product one-pagers, competitor battlecards, testimonials, and value propositions for specific products and verticals
