Job Description

This role will be focused on partnering with all departments to understand the data and provide meaningful insights to lead Verse decisions towards the year objectives. The ideal candidate is self-driven, independent and will leverage superb technical, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive analytically sound recommendations. This role will challenge you to think strategically and contribute to high-level discussions across the organization. Proactivity and ownership will be key skills.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead BI efforts to provide key insights, monitorize KPIs and be on top of any change on the numbers to understand the problem and provide a fast solution.

  • Collaborate with management to ensure business strategies align with a data-driven approach and unexpected developments are spotted and understood well

  • Partner with stakeholders from different departments ensuring the right questions are being asked, solicit feedback, and iterate until you reach meaningful conclusions backed by solid analyses.

  • Produce deep-dive analysis to optimize initiatives. Proactively investigate visible data patterns.

  • Use SQL on a daily basis and perform analyses to support department managers’ inquiries.

  • Define KPIs and build self-serve data visualization dashboards to monitor performance 

  • Ensure data quality while always promoting a data-driven culture across the organization.

  • Manage our data visualization tool Looker.

     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or similar.

  • 7+ years of analytics experience or equivalent.

  • Fluency with data, analytics and visualization technologies.

  • Expertise in SQL and Looker Knowledge

  • Familiarity with data warehouse development and best practices.

  • Experience leading projects that depend on the contributions of others in multiple disciplines.

  • Proactivity, ownership, and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms is a plus (Google Cloud).

  • Experience in the Fintech world is a plus

  • Programming skills are a plus (Python)
